(GAO Min) On September 2, GZIST launched the Year 2024 ADT (Academic Degree Transfer) Programs in Baiyun Campus multi-functional Sports Field. Present were President HU Shejun, CPC Committee Secretary HUANG Shengchen, Executive Vice President HUANG Nansong, Vice Presidents CHEN Hanjun, ZHANG Shimei, ZHANG Zhihong, as well as University Division Heads, Deans, Professors and all ADT students. CPC Committee Deputy Secretary and Vice President ZHANG Zhihong presided over the event.
At 8am, the national anthem opened the ceremony. President HU Shejun welcomed the first-year ADT students and briefed them on GZIST’S mission of serving the Greater Bay Area (GBA) on the firm footing on Guangdong, the path of working closely with the industry for science-industry-education integration and people development. The University, having turned out batches after batches of talents who are of high calibre and application-oriented, aspires to be a Guangdong first-class institution of higher education, renowned nationally with unique distinction. President Hu called on all the ADT students to act on the same wavelength with the University for life-long learning, wholeheartedly serving the GBA and our country in the spirit of our university motto “Learn with Diligence, Act with Integrity”. All our students must bear in mind the entrustment of General Secretary XI Jinping and turn their ambitions, their parents’ expectations and their university’s nurturing into their splendid achievements in the course of the construction of the Greater Bay Area and the path to Chinese modernization.
Vice Dean LI Lidan of the School of Music and Dance, LIU Minghao, a student from Year 2021 Accounting of the School of Economics and Management, and HE Weicong, a student from Civil Engineering of the School of Architectural Engineering spoke on behalf of professors, returning and first-year students.
With the closing of the ceremony, all our ADT students will embark on a new journey with the GZIST community for a youthful and fruitful chapter of their own.
