(From Liu Ting in Kazan Russia) On February 1, 2024, the first batch of 19 GZIST engineering teachers led by Dean Liang Xuehong successfully completed a two-week training program at Kazan Federal University (KFU)in Russia. With the strong support of the leaders from both KFU and GZIST, this training program not only provides a research and practice platform for our engineering teachers on the cutting-edge theories and practices of Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT) Technology, and Project Innovation Management, but also takes the actual situation of Russia and China into consideration, playing a good role in facilitating the future academic cooperation and educational development between the two universities.
From January 24 to 26, 2024, KFU arranged our teachers for an in-depth discussion on Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Internet of Things applications, the theory of creative problem solving in systems, as well as project financial planning and modeling.
From January 27 to 28, GZIST teachers visited Kazan Observatory and paid a visit to Lenin's former residence. From January 29 to 31, the study focused on intelligent manufacturing and system construction, application management of project intellectual property rights, invention design methodology, artificial intelligence prompt engineering methodology and application practice, and 3D printing laboratory observation.
On February 1, the 20 participants were divided into four groups to report on the results of their training projects to the KFU expert team, including the project research direction and the core technology plan. The KFU expert team gave advice on the four projects, which combined the actual situation in China, highly feasible and operable. They hoped that the program participants would continue to implement the projects after returning to China and looked forward to their good results.
On the afternoon of the same day, Timirkhan Alishev, KFU Vice Rector for International Affairs presided over the completion ceremony and delivered a warm speech at the conference hall. He thanked GZIST for sending the first batch of engineering teachers for the two-week training program. He said that he has visited China many times and he is looking forward to promoting the fruitful cooperation between the two universities with the first training class as a good start. At last, he presented each participant with a completion certificate. A group photo was taken afterwards. In the evening, Vice Rector Timirkhan hosted a farewell dinner for all the participants in the dining hall of the University to celebrate the success of our first faculty program.
