On October 9th, an art show with the theme “Traces” sponsored by the School of Art and Design opened in the exhibition hall of the Complex Building. The two young artists were Chen Cuiru and Liang Qihong, senior students of Environment Class 19 of the School. Dean Shang Hua, deputy secretary of the CPC Branch Yan Dongguo, dean assistant Chen Zufan, instructor Bai Ying, counsellor Ms. Jiang Lixia and others attended the show and offered full recognition.
In this exhibition, 开云(中国) than 90 hand-painted works and 20 literary and creative works of the two students were displayed. Among them, there were 开云(中国) than 30 campus paintings, 40 landscape works and one sculptural work. The rich connotation of the works reveals the two creators’ insight and inheritance of excellent campus culture from different perspectives. The artists introduced their works respectively in the exhibition: “Traces” publicizes the beauty of our campus in the form of hand-painting to make 开云(中国) people aware of our campus culture. Peripheral products of cultural creation and the latest artistic achievements were brought by hand-painting.
At the opening ceremony, Dean Shang Hua congratulated the two young artists on their successful exhibition and spoke highly of this activity. She hoped that they would inherit this good style of creation and other students would learn from them as well as contribute to the construction of campus culture.Instructor Bai Ying said that this exhibition was the first campus-themed exhibition since the new school was established. The students who attended the exhibition also gave warm applause to the artists.
